[News]Charmaine Sheh Supports Linda Chung and Myolie Wu to Be TV Queen

Charmaine Sheh Supports Linda Chung and Myolie Wu to Be TV Queen thumbnail
Ever since Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼)  broke away “biological” relations with TVB, chances of reprising her past position as TVB Anniversary Awards’ TV Queen doesn’t look too optimistic this year. In reply to this, Charmaine self-professed that she understands the rules of the game thus she will concentrate on filming dramas in mainland China. As for the TV Queen award this year, amongst the hot contenders, Charmaine looked highly upon Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) and Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) while for the TV King award, Charmaine, of course, thought highly of her long-time good friend, Michael Tse (謝天華).
*Warning: Possible spoilers for new drama 4 In Love ahead*
Although Charmaine was no longer under a TVB management contract, she has in recent days been busy filming TVB new drama, 4 In Love. Yesterday night, the drama team were filming an outdoor scene on a building’s rooftop in Mongkok’s Sai Yeung Choi Street. Charmaine Sheh donned a 60′s image for the drama and proved to be extremely eye-catching in it. She then started filming with Florence Kwok (郭少芸) and more than thirty temporary actors, some of whom were people of other nationalities.
As it turned out, the scene was about Charmaine (who portrays an actress in this drama) filming a science-fiction thriller in Hollywood. Thus, Charmaine was required to wear white contact lens from time to time. Charmaine continued, “Your vision will turn blurry with these white contact lenses on. Thus, it was rather tough (filming in these).”

Highly Praised Michael Tse for TV King

When mentioned of TVB’s Anniversary Awards ceremony at year-end and how viewers were starting to look out for signs of the hot contenders for the TV King and Queen awards respectively, Charmaine was also asked for her predictions. In reply to this, Charmaine responded, “For TV King, there is no need to ask, I would surely pick Laughing-Gor Michael Tse! Since we (Michael and I) are friends, of course I will support him first! I also know that the viewership ratings for Lives of Omission <潛行狙擊> has been great. If there is a need to pick, I think it would be hard on us.”
When asked about the selection for TV Queen, Charmaine noted, “Linda Chung’s performance in Yes Sir Sorry Sir <點解阿Sir係阿Sir> and Myolie Wu’s performance in The Rippling Blossom <魚躍在花見> were both good.” (What about yourself? Do you have any confidence?) “For me, I really don’t think I have the chance lahs! Because I might not be able to attend the ceremony as I need to rush back to mainland in September to film Mainland drama, The Legend of Yuan Empire Founder <建元風雲>.”
In other news, filming outdoors in such a humid weather has proved to be an extremely difficult task for the cast and crew. However, Charmaine still acted with professionalism and responded that shooting at night wasn’t considered that tough already (as compared to filming in the day).

[News]Bosco Wong Does Not Like Big Breasts; Only Loves Myolie Wu

A chain-smoking lame-legged gangster living in the dregs of society continued to live and waited for revenge opportunities. His love-hate relationship with Kate Tsui (徐子珊) prompted him to demand repayment of financial debts with her body forever. Trapped in three layers of the worst hell and walking between the black and white of society was “Cripple Co,” portrayed by Bosco Wong (黃宗澤) in Lives of Omission <潛行狙擊>.
Cripple Co’s stand-out characterization did not allow Michael Tse (謝天華) to shine alone. Abandoning his handsome exterior, Bosco kissed Kate Tsui forcibly throughout Lives of Omission. In fact, Bosco appeared to resemble a hungry lion seeking pleasure: biting you, eating you, and destroying you. Watching the show at home, Bosco’s girlfriend, Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) did not grumble as working in the entertainment industry required trust.  Moreover, her boyfriend knew what to do by establishing a “Two People Protection Unit” to guard the Garden of Eden. Aside from goddess, Kate Tsui, Bosco also drew the line with big-eyed, sharp-faced, and large-busted mainland women by stating, ”I don’t like this type!” Whether it was real or not, it was most critical that Myolie Wu listened!
Popular TVB series, Lives of Omission, will be entering its finale this week. Undercover Criminal Investigation Bureau police officer, Laughing Gor (portrayed by Michael Tse) will be facing Cripple Co (Bosco Wong) in a battle of wits. In fact, Cripple Co was a very refreshing and well-fleshed character for Bosco to portray.  Cripple Co entered the mafia since his family fell on difficult financial times. Cripple Co’s leg was crippled by a mafia boss and suffered humiliation, even forced to lick another’s shoe sole. Cripple Co’s encounters were worse than the dregs of society. Deeply in love with lawyer, Kate Tsui, Cripple Co committed questionable actions in order to pay for her overseas education. Since Kate’s character betrayed Cripple Co, this sparked his love-hate feelings. Each time Cripple Co encountered Kate’s character, he kissed her forcibly, similar to a hungry tiger bashing a rabbit, which sparked the excited yelps of netizens.

Kate Tsui’s Shocking Tomboyish Behavior

Bosco and Kate’s passionate scenes have become the hot topic among netizens. This was thanks to Lives of Omission Producer, Chong Wai Kin (莊偉健). Bosco noted, “Prior to filming, Mr. Chong said he had good things in stall for me. There will be numerous kissing scenes. It was his intention to contrast Kate and my relationship with Laughing Gor and Madam Jo’s (Fala Chen’s 陳法拉) relationship.  I used a destructive approach; the more I loved Kate’s character, the more I hated her. I asked Mr. Chong whether he would mind if I acted as a lion biting a lioness? Since Cripple Co entered the triad world to finance Kate’s education, he received his first major shortcoming in life. He loved and hated her very much; it was an atypical love.”
Acting in such a bold manner, of course Bosco had to communicate with Kate first. He recalled, “We kissed on the first day of filming. I told Kate Tsui that she had to be mentally prepared. In the first eight to ten episodes, I will act as a lion biting a lioness: pulling her hair, as well as biting her shoulders, neck, and lips. Kate looked at me and said, ‘I am unafraid of how you will treat me. I am just afraid of your mustache!’ It turned out that the two qualities she hated the most in men, smoking and possessing a mustache, were found in Cripple Co.”
Despite their passionate performance in Lives of Omission, Bosco swore that they did not share any real flames, “I saw her as a man!” When pointed out that Kate Tsui was a goddess among netizens, Bosco chuckled continuously, “Despite putting her beautiful appearance before the audience, her attire when she arrives to work makes you wonder whether she is a guy! I am more pretty than her! When I leave home, I will try to match my outfits. She will wear torn jeans and a haphazard t-shirt. When driving to outdoor filming locations, Kate’s car conditions surprised me. The inside of her car is very messy, with cables and clothes thrown everywhere! It does not resemble the interior of a woman’s car! I am one hundred times neater than her! Kate gave me the impression that she is very messy. When I saw the inside of her car, I can imagine how her home must look like!” Asked how Bosco filmed his love scenes if he did not love Kate, he said, “I know her well, but there is no love. If I were to ‘fall in love’ [with co-stars] in each series, then I would be very busy!”
Cripple Co’s love scenes were a strong selling point in Lives of Omission. Another selling point was his battle with Laughing Gor. Although Cripple Co was Laughing Gor’s informer initally, he helped mafia boss, Willie (Leung Kin Ping 梁健平) pin down Spicy Ginger (Ben Wong 黃智賢), while in fact secretly helping Spicy Ginger to destroy Willie. In other words, Cripple Co’s character triple-crossed his “allies” and the audience was concerned about his true identity. Was he in fact an undercover agent?

Seeking Recognition But Not Awards

Bosco revealed that two endings have been prepared for Lives of Omission. “Cripple Co has a deeply nestled undercover identity. If you want to find out the ending, you have to watch the series yourself! This time, the director must be praised. With the inclusion of certain scenes, an alternate ending will be possible. If the scenes were deleted, a different ending will result. Laughing Gor and I have not watched the final version yet.”
Wayne Lai (黎耀祥) followed Lives of Omission and praised Bosco for his good performance, citing Bosco as the dark horse candidate for TVB’s Best Actor Award this year. Bosco said, “Many thanks to Wayne for his praise! I am not saying I’m lofty, but I have looked beyond awards; I do not feel much for them. If you were to give me the award, I will be happy. However, if people recognize my performance, I am even happier than receiving an award.” Filming series non-stop, Boso was also a popular newcomer in the film industry. Allegedly, TVB extended his contract to ten years to prevent him from running away.

“No One Asked For Contract Extension”

Bosco said, “Of course, I am happy filming movies. I have been filming series for eight years already. It is exciting to change to a new work environment. Since the film format is new to me, I am getting accustomed to it. Despite rumors that I signed a ten-year TVB contract, this has not happened. No one asked to extend my contract. The frequent rumors made me feel embarrrassed since Ms. Virginia Lok (樂易玲) asked me how they started, ‘I haven’t discussed the matter with you, yet someone else has approached you about it?’ I said I did not know and it was a misunderstanding. There are still many years left in my TVB contract; they are not in a hurry to extend the contract.”

Not Attracted By Big Breasts; Loves Myolie Only

Despite Bosco and Kate’s animalistic passion in Lives of Omission, the governance of the world requires one animal to control another. In this case, the tamer of the lion was Myolie Wu, who had Bosco under full rein.
Despite locking lips with Kate Tsui in Lives of Omission, Bosco claimed that he did not report his behavior to Myolie, “Nothing bothers me during filming. Please do not bother and monitor me. She also has her freedom in filming. I will not ask any questions.”  Bosco and Myolie have been dating for years and were just short of notifying the world. Boso joked, “It’s necessary to maintain a sense of mystery!” The reporter pointed out that the entire world knew [about their relationship], how was it possible to retain any mystery? Bosco maintained,  “A little is still a little! I like how things currently stand.”
The reporter asked whether it was Bosco who was unwilling to publicly acknowledge Myolie’s status as his girlfriend or Myolie’s unwillingness to declare him as her boyfriend. Bosco laughed loudly, “Ha ha, I didn’t say anything! I am accustomed to the handling [of our relationship]. It is natural and without deliberation. If you see it, you see it. There’s no need to raise my hand to make a statement. If I were to get married one day, then I will announce it.” Bosco noted that currently, he had no intention of marriage.
After filming War of In-Laws <我的野蠻奶奶> in 2005, Bosco and Myolie started dating. In the blink of an eye, six years have passed. It was normal for a man and woman to get married. Bosco laughed continuously, ”My brother, you have been counting the years? I do not feel that it is the right time to get married yet. There are still things that I have not done yet, such as filming [more] movies. I still have to work hard for the future, such as starting a business. Earlier, I gave my mother money to open an optical store in Wan Chai to occupy her time and perhaps earn some money. When I was in my twenties, I considered getting married at 30-years-old. When I turned 30-years-old, I have not thought about marriage. If you were to ask me whether I will get married at 40-years-old, I do not know how to answer you. Let things flow naturally.”
Working in the same circle, rumors within TVB traveled as fast as lightning. Without mutual trust, it was very easy for their feelings to be scattered. Acknowledging the importance of mutual trust, Bosco said, ”We are okay in this aspect. In my current age, I am acting more like myself. In the past, I was more evasive. This has nothing to do with whether I have a girlfriend or not. The other reason is that other people know me more and understand my personality. If you live in my neighborhood, I will give you a car ride. Other people asked if I was afraid of this behavior? What am I afraid of? Of course, I will pick the type of person to enter the car, extending the offer to friends and not arbitrarily ask anyone!”

Countering Rumors

It was incredible how mainland beauties have numerous methods to increase their fame nowadays. Once they approach you, rumors frequently followed. Frequently working in mainland, Bosco gave Myolie a measure of reassurance. ”I have a two-people protection unit. My  assistant (Chen Xiaolin 陳小琳) is the most vicious. However, rumors circulated that I was romantically linked with her, which gave us a big laugh!  My chauffeur is 6-feet tall and can block anything. I am well prepared!” The reporter asked how Bosco would block the mainland beauties who possessed pointed faces, big eyes, and big chests? Bosco answered absolutely, “I do not like this type [of woman]!”
It was easy to make such a statement, but numerous TVB artists fell for such women. Bosco noted, “When passionate feelings take over, it’s just dating. We are not saints. As long as it is decent, then it’s fine. It is normal for a man to get to know a woman. The words used to describe the situation makes it sound like a big deal!”

[News]Steven Ma Encounters Obstacles While Filming “Lucky Father”

Yesterday, Steven Ma (馬浚偉) and Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) were at Shek Kip Mei Street to film a vehicle collision scene for their new series. Since the scene was perceived to be too realistic, it frightened an old lady present who mistakenly thought that a traffic accident had actually  occurred. She immediately called the police, stating that a motorcycle had mounted on the pavement and swept away some people. This caused the police and the firefighters to assume that a disastrous traffic accident had occurred upon receiving the telephone report and immediately dispatched some men to rush to the scene, only to discover that it was just a misunderstanding and false alarm.
Unexpectedly, after that disturbance, another female passer-by stood beside the motorbike which had to be used for filming and thus caused interference. Despite persuasion, she refused to leave.  Thus, the drama team had no choice but to halt filming.
After which, the reporters understood from Steven that at that point in time, he was filming a vehicle collision scene with Linda for TVB’s new drama, Lucky Father <當旺爸爸>. The scene required  many temporary actors to act as students who have been hit (by the oncoming vehicle). At that time, an old lady passed by and grew very nervous, mistakenly thinking that an actual traffic accident had occurred and hence called the police. After realizing that the accident was only a scene in a TVB series, she didn’t bother them again.
Accused of Polluting the Environment
However, Steven revealed that another woman had displayed agitation at the filming set. That woman was upset over the pollution of the environment as the cast and crew did not turn off the air-conditioning and engine of their outdoor filming van (which was parked along the road). Hence, the woman tried to be difficult by refusing to leave.
Steven thus said, “We usually change filming outfits in the van. There’s a time limit and after that, we will always switch off the engine of the idle vehicle. However, as she was saying, she suddenly went very near to us. I grabbed Linda and returned into the van and didn’t have any confrontation with her to avoid further aggravation. After waiting for that woman to leave, we resumed our positions and finished shooting the remaining scene. Finally, we managed to complete it.”
Steven continued, “However, I must also praise the police for their quick reflexes and efficiency regarding this matter. I didn’t expect that their police car would arrive at the scene so quickly.” Steven also pointed out that when shooting an outdoor scene, TVB had always followed the procedure and applied for a filming permit. This time was no exception either. Yesterday when filming the vehicle collision scene, although it was mistaken to be real, the police didn’t interfere with their filming upon reaching the scene. However, someone else was too agitated but fortunately, controlled herself and left. Steven also said, “That lady probably had a emotional problem. She kept hurling insults at us and made a  ruckus until it was so awful hearing it and scolded us for being selfish, unscrupulous and even warned us to be careful of breaking our ankles!”

Laughing-Gor Going On The Silver Screen Once Again thumbnail
Bosco Wong (黃宗澤) and Michael Tse (謝天華) accepted a radio interview with Eileen Cha (查小欣). Since Bosco was not around in Hong Kong earlier, he only knew that their drama, Lives of Omission < 潛行狙擊> which starred the duo, had received victorious ratings upon his return trip back. Bosco felt that it was most important for the drama to receive good criticisms and for everyone to like it.
Bosco and Michael were both cited as the hot contenders for this year’s TV King award. Bosco expressed that he would be even more happy if Lives of Omission could win the best drama award whereas Michael revealed that TVB will starting filming for the movie version of Lives of Omission in September. The film will pick up directly from the ending of the television series. Michael also stated that he will reprise his role as Laughing-Gor for the movie.

[News]Steven Ma Is Good Brothers With Kenneth Ma

The drama, The Life and Times of A Sentinel <紫禁驚雷> that Steven Ma (馬浚偉) took pains to finish will be broadcasting it’s finale today. This caused him to have mixed feelings in recent days, anxiously anticipating for the ratings to hit the ceiling but at the same time, afraid that he might feel dejected.
The periodic drama that Steven Ma is the main leading man for, will be ending its run tonight. Towards the series that he toiled hard to film finally coming to end, Steven professed that he had mixed feelings, hoping for the last episode to air soon so that viewers could see the fruit of the labor by the entire drama team of cast and crew. But at the same time, he was also afraid for all good things to come to an end and thus felt dejected and unwilling to part with it (the drama series).
Becomes Scheming for Revenge
*Warning: Spoilers for The Life and Times of A Sentinel Ahead*
Steven expressed that the drama series, The Life and Times of A Sentinel < 紫禁驚雷>, has a substantial position in his acting career and filming journey thus far, “I have never acted before such intense hatred character like Nip Dor-Po. The week leading up to the finale, he will undergo a massive psychological change, to seek revenge, he will become extremely scheming, and during the last few remaining episodes, he will also break away from Kenneth Ma’s (馬國明) character, Fuk-Tsuen, and both men will seek closure and have a clean break once and for all. The ending will be very tragic but someone will also jump out and reveal an earth-shattering secret. I really anticipate the viewers’ reaction to our drama’s finale.”
Steven Ma Is Brothers with Kenneth Ma
Steven revealed that he had a pleasant time co-operating with  Kenneth, “This time our filming duration is short and especially since this is also a big palace court-themed drama thus it was a rather tough filming experience. However, thankfully, the cast and crew were very diligent and my fellow counterpart Kenneth is an actor who’s more than willing to communicate and interact. Furthermore, since both of us share the same surname, ‘Ma’ (馬), it was such a comfortable collaboration that we were such good friends, akin to brothers.”
As for the viewership ratings, Steven professed that he was overall just satisfied with it, “For the previous few weeks, the ratings have been fluctuating between 26 and 27 points. However the previous dramas that were broadcasted at the same 8.30 PM time slot as our drama, have all suffered relatively low ratings. Thus, I greatly anticipate for the final episode to receive a high viewership rating.”

[News]Vincent Wong fights for a chance to duet with Myolie Wu

Vincent Wong fights for a chance to duet with Myolie Wu

Vincent Wong and his girlfriend Yoyo Chen were photographed earlier getting intimate. Asked if he'll avoid dating in the house? He said: "Not deliberately, after all we do have a normal lifestyle. We will be more careful and keep the curtains shut. We want to protect our own privacy. Lately Yoyo has been getting more series, giving us more chances to talk about acting. (Yoyo has already recovered from the incident?) She handled it well, focusing more on her series and health."

Vincent is devoted to music, although he won't demand for a new album, he hopes to fight for the chance to duet the theme song to his new series with Myolie Wu, Endless Exchange of Enjoyment. He said: "Before when I attended a function with her, I recommended her to Neway, and now she's taking me along. It's time for me ask her company to produce a song for us!"

Another artist birthday ? =O

Happy Birthday to Yoyo !

It's time for me to wish Chi Lam a HAPPY BIRTHDAY !

Happy birthday to Chi Lam and hope you and Anita sweet forever ! ^^

[News]Steven Ma's series comes to an end, feels scattered and down

Steven Ma's series comes to an end, feels scattered and down

The finale to TVB costume drama The Life and Times of a Sentinel starring Steven Ma and Kenneth Ma airs tonight. As this difficult to shoot production finally comes to an end, Steven said frankly he's having mixed feelings. He really wants the finale to broadcast quickly, so audience can see the results of all the hard work the crew put into this production. However, he is also worried that he'll feel reluctant and lost when the series ends.

Steven expressed that The Life and Times of a Sentinel holds a vital spot in the course of his acting, he said: "I have never portrayed a character with so much hatred like Nip Dor Po. In the finale week, he had a great psychological change. For revenge, he turned into a sinister and in the last few episodes, his relations with Kenneth Ma's role Fuk Chuen will rupture. Two men will have a very tragic ending. One of them will get frightening when an enormous secret uncovers. I look forward to see how audience will react to this ending."

Steven said he had a pleasant collaboration with Kenneth Ma, he said: "The shooting period this time was shor. The series is also set in the large palace court, so it was quite difficult, but the entire crew really put their hearts into it. My co-star Kenneth Ma is an actor that is willing to give and take. Plus our surnames are both Ma, we had a comfortable collaboration and are such good friends like two brothers."

As for the TV ratings, Steven frankly said it's only a general satisfaction: "The past few weeks remained 26-27 points, but the earlier series with the same 8:30pm time slots had lower ratings too. I anticipate for good ratings in the finale."

[News]Kenneth Ma's evilness when seizing the throne satisfies his cravings

Kenneth Ma's evilness when seizing the throne satisfies his cravings

In the recent year, most of Kenneth Ma's roles are villains. Among them is his Wong Yeh role in The Life and Times of a Sentinel, who plots a plan to seize the throne. Asked if he has a diminished feeling? He said: "Being good for so many years, as an artist, villain roles are really fun, practically what I wish for. I feel I wasn't evil enough. I hope to be villain in another series and go extreme."

In reality, villain roles leave a deeper impression on audience, does Kenneth have confidence to stand out and win an award depending on a villain role? He said: "I don't know either, this is what the audience say. I want an award too because honestly you can ask for higher prices in jobs." Kenneth's most memorable scene was when he forced the emperor out of the Buddhist temple. He said: "My lines were over 40 pages long. It is the most difficult time in all of my acting experiences. It took us 3 nights to shoot that scene, those 3 days was really a deep feeling, very memorable."
