Myolie Wu rolls around in wheel chair for Triumph in the Skies II

Triumph in the Skies (TITS) was a hit when it broadcasted in 2003. TVB has intentions to shoot a sequel next year with Chilam Cheung, Myolie Wu, Ron Ng, Kate Tsui, Bosco Wong, MC Jin and Miss HK Rebecca Zhu. Yesterday morning, the group arrived at the airport to shoot the Sales Presentation clip.

Part of the original cast, Myolie Wu expressed she has not received the script yet, so she's not sure if it's an actual sequel. Sitting on a wheel chair, Myolie plays a disabled ground crew and was quite familiar with controlling the wheel chair. She even got high and started rolling here and there as if she was dancing, Myolie said: "I've done wheel chair dances before, so I can control the chair. It is a challenge to portary a person with disability because the mentality is different." She expressed she hopes her 'lover' Francis Ng from part 1 could make his comeback, so she can learn more from him. However, she laughed and said she didn't have his phone number. As for rumored boyfriend Bosco Wong didn't appear until 2 hours later, the two were unable to be on location together.

Ron Ng also hopes the original cast could take part in the sequel: "Even with 70-80% of the original cast is good. I want Francis Ng to come back. He's so appealing. As for Flora Chan and Sammul Chan, they may not participate again. (A pity?) Last time, S4 was very successful. I believe this time, the new cast will also create new sparks." Ron and Rebecca were shooting a breakup scene. This is Rebecca's first time shooting a sales presentation, so she was extremely nervous. Even if she only had 1 line to say, she would already be so nervous she couldn't eat.

Also, it was rumored Chilam Cheung would get HK$800,000 per episode for TITS2. Towards this, Chilam laughed: "Not that little! 32 years ago, “Fa-Gor” Chow Yun Fat (周潤發) and “DoDo-Jie” Carol Cheng (鄭裕玲) sealed a kiss for three minutes in classic TVB drama, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly《網中人》, thus paving the way for intense kissing scenes in the future dramas to come.
Fast forward to today, Bosco Wong (黃宗澤) and Kate Tsui (徐子珊) imitated those two seniors and even did a good job of glamorizing intense kissing scenes, smooching each other in every episode until their lips were cramped. As for whether the other party is a good kisser? Well, only they would know the truth. Even if the other party isn’t a good kisser, guess they would rather suffer bitterly in silence than to voice it out…

B: “It actually felt quite okay!”

R: “Among so many female stars, who is the best to kiss?”
B: “It had to be “Xiao Yi” Kitty Yuen (阮小儀), Xiao Yi’s lips are really thick, but that’s just my personal feeling!”
R: “Not good to neglect Kate’s “face” oh, is Kate amongst your top three actresses who are good to kiss?”
B: “Kate is also included, she’s in the top three position.”

B: “Kate really gave a liberating acting performance. I felt very comfortable partnering with her to act in dramas because Kate’s personality is really easy-going, anything will do for her, she would not be hung up over her image as a pretty girl or that she used to be a ex Miss HK winner…there’s nothing like that coming from her. Acting is just purely acting, Kate has no emotional or psychological baggage restraining her. Thus I felt that it was comfortable partnering with her. I even saw that she kept improving, the more she acted, the more natural she was in front of the camera.  Even when we were shooting the opening scene, I could feel that she has her own thinking. In a nutshell, I strongly support Kate Tsui to win the award!”
R: “Kate, what do you think about Bosco then?”
K: “Bosco and I have known each other for quite some time now. I feel that having audiences who identifies with your efforts is much more significant than winning an award. I remember that on the first day of filming, everyone wanted to come up with something fresh and new. In the end, it was our combination that brought something different to everyone. If only there was an award for “Most Improved Onscreen Couple”, I feel that we will have a high chance of getting it lor! We really put so much effort into our roles.”
B: “Yes, even though many people placed more emphasis into our kissing scenes, but if they were attentive enough, they would notice that the kisses in the opening episodes, middle episodes and the final episodes were all different and each carried a different meaning.”

K: “We used plenty of efforts into building up the relationship between these two characters, Cripple Co. and Paris. Just like what Bosco had mentioned earlier, I acted very liberally but there was definitely a need for this. Bosco is one good partner. Since there is a new award almost every year, can they add on some new award to encourage him (Bosco)?”
R: “Michael Tse’s Laughing-Gor and Fala Chen‘s (陳法拉) Madam Jo are after all the main centralized couple in this series, will you guys feel pressurized in this case?”
B: “Our characters’ romance and their characters’ romance were remotely different. Even before we started filming, it was already decided that their character’s romance would be traditional and conventional while our characters’ romance would be a abnormal one.”
K: “Our main focus was to come up with something unconventional, something new. In the past drama series, very little had scenes as intense as ours, which was such a loving, hating and agitating romance.”
B: (Adding on to Kate’s words) “Not to forget our strong and “heavily flavored” dialogues. We would have to say things like “I’m calling a prostitute” and “I’m feeling unhappy because my “aunt flow” is here”, those kind of dialogues.”
K: “Yes ah, we will also use our might to slap, smack and box each other, totally jumping out of the television’s boundary.

Kissing someone out of no reason, when you have no physical attraction to him or when you are not acting with him, is indeed really tough.
On the day of the interview, the photographer requested Bosco to kiss Kate for a photo. Initially, the duo immediately agreed but just as everything was set and ready and awaiting for their kiss, Kate suddenly backed out and said, “I think it’s not good for us to kiss!” (Reporter: Why?) “Bosco’s growing a mustache again! [News]Michael Tse Not Afraid That Stephen Chan’s Camp Will Fight For TV King; Kate Tsui Denies Fighting For More Screentime

TVB drama, Lives of Omission《潛行狙擊》, is still currently broadcasting and heating up the television screens of households. This thus made Michael Tse (謝天華) and Kate Tsui (徐子珊) a fast-rising target of magazines out there.
There were rumors that with Stephen Chan‘s (陳志雲) official return to TVB, he was planning to support either Wong Hei (王喜) or Wayne Lai (黎耀祥) up to be TV King, which could burst Michael Tse’s dream of becoming TV King. It was also rumored that in a bid to be more outstanding than Fala Chen (陳法拉) in new drama Schemes of East and West《東 西宮略》, Kate Tsui had apparently requested the producer to add in more scenes for her but later quit the drama after her plan to gain additional screen time backfired.
Yesterday, Michael Tse, Kate Tsui, Ella Koon (官恩娜), Mag Lam (林欣彤) and etc attended the recording and praying ceremony for “Macau Shopping Festival 2011: The Entire City Moves Along” (tentative title) .
Stephen Chan’s return to TVB had set off rumors of a massive shift in the TV King and Queen positions, even indicating Wayne Lai, Wong Hei and etc of “replacing” Michael as the top contender.
In reply to this, despite facing with all kinds of speculations, Michael’s confidence of winning the TV King award did not waver one bit. Michael even professed that he did not need to respond on who would be TV King, “I do not need to comment on this. Kate Tsui was, on the other hand, pestered to answer rumors that she lost out the role of Xia Ying Chun from TVB upcoming drama “Schemes of East and West”, which was eventually awarded to Sharon Chan (陳敏之), because she had allegedly threw a tantrum and refused to share equal screen time with Fala Chen.
In reply to this, Kate helplessly said, “Never heard about these news. Sounds quite interesting though. Previously, Tommy Leung (梁家樹) [TVB Deputy Chief-Director and Producer] did discuss with me about this drama but at that time, he hasn’t determined the roles yet and I couldn’t take on the drama after that as it clashed with my work schedule.” (Reporter: Don’t wish to collaborate with Fala Chen?)  ”No such thing. We had just co-operated and completed a series together so how could that be possible?”

In that ‘unconfirmed-to-be-true” ending, most netizens widely discussed about how Fala Chen’s Madam Jo turned out to be a turncoat police while Kate Tsui’s Paris was, in fact, a police undercover agent. As for Bosco Wong‘s (黃宗澤) Cripple Co. having a “brokeback” romance with his underling Bao Deng (爆燈) in that ending, netizens felt that it was nothing but hogwash.

Cripple Co’s stand-out characterization did not allow Michael Tse (謝天華) to shine alone. Abandoning his handsome exterior, Bosco kissed Kate Tsui forcibly throughout Lives of Omission. In fact, Bosco appeared to resemble a hungry lion seeking pleasure: biting you, eating you, and destroying you. Watching the show at home, Bosco’s girlfriend, Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) did not grumble as working in the entertainment industry required trust.  Moreover, her boyfriend knew what to do by establishing a “Two People Protection Unit” to guard the Garden of Eden. Popular TVB series, Lives of Omission, will be entering its finale this week. Undercover Criminal Investigation Bureau police officer, Laughing Gor (portrayed by Michael Tse) will be facing Cripple Co (Bosco Wong) in a battle of wits. In fact, Cripple Co was a very refreshing and well-fleshed character for Bosco to portray.  Cripple Co entered the mafia since his family fell on difficult financial times. Cripple Co’s leg was crippled by a mafia boss and suffered humiliation, even forced to lick another’s shoe sole. Cripple Co’s encounters were worse than the dregs of society. Deeply in love with lawyer, Kate Tsui, Cripple Co committed questionable actions in order to pay for her overseas education. Since Kate’s character betrayed Cripple Co, this sparked his love-hate feelings. Each time Cripple Co encountered Kate’s character, he kissed her forcibly, similar to a hungry tiger bashing a rabbit, which sparked the excited yelps of netizens.

Kate Tsui’s Shocking Tomboyish Behavior

Bosco and Kate’s passionate scenes have become the hot topic among netizens. This was thanks to Lives of Omission Producer, Chong Wai Kin (莊偉健). Bosco noted, “Prior to filming, Mr. Chong said he had good things in stall for me. There will be numerous kissing scenes. It was his intention to contrast Kate and my relationship with Laughing Gor and Madam Jo’s (Fala Chen’s 陳法拉) relationship.  I used a destructive approach; the more I loved Kate’s character, the more I hated her. I asked Mr. Chong whether he would mind if I acted as a lion biting a lioness? Since Cripple Co entered the triad world to finance Kate’s education, he received his first major shortcoming in life. He loved and hated her very much; it was an atypical love.”
Acting in such a bold manner, of course Bosco had to communicate with Kate first. He recalled, “We kissed on the first day of filming. I told Kate Tsui that she had to be mentally prepared. In the first eight to ten episodes, I will act as a lion biting a lioness: pulling her hair, as well as biting her shoulders, neck, and lips. Kate looked at me and said, ‘I am unafraid of how you will treat me. I am just afraid of your mustache!’ It turned out that the two qualities she hated the most in men, smoking and possessing a mustache, were found in Cripple Co.”
Despite their passionate performance in Lives of Omission, Bosco swore that they did not share any real flames, “I saw her as a man!” When pointed out that Kate Tsui was a goddess among netizens, Bosco chuckled continuously, “Despite putting her beautiful appearance before the audience, her attire when she arrives to work makes you wonder whether she is a guy! Cripple Co’s love scenes were a strong selling point in Lives of Omission. Another selling point was his battle with Laughing Gor. Although Cripple Co was Laughing Gor’s informer initally, he helped mafia boss, Willie (Leung Kin Ping 梁健平) pin down Spicy Ginger (Ben Wong 黃智賢), while in fact secretly helping Spicy Ginger to destroy Willie. In other words, Cripple Co’s character triple-crossed his “allies” and the audience was concerned about his true identity. Was he in fact an undercover agent?

Seeking Recognition But Not Awards

Bosco revealed that two endings have been prepared for Lives of Omission. “Cripple Co has a deeply nestled undercover identity. If you want to find out the ending, you have to watch the series yourself! This time, the director must be praised. With the inclusion of certain scenes, an alternate ending will be possible. If the scenes were deleted, a different ending will result. Laughing Gor and I have not watched the final version yet.”
Wayne Lai (黎耀祥) followed Lives of Omission and praised Bosco for his good performance, citing Bosco as the dark horse candidate for TVB’s Best Actor Award this year. Bosco said, “Many thanks to Wayne for his praise! I am not saying I’m lofty, but I have looked beyond awards; I do not feel much for them. If you were to give me the award, I will be happy. However, if people recognize my performance, I am even happier than receiving an award.” Filming series non-stop, Boso was also a popular newcomer in the film industry. Allegedly, TVB extended his contract to ten years to prevent him from running away.

“No One Asked For Contract Extension”

Bosco said, “Of course, I am happy filming movies. I have been filming series for eight years already. It is exciting to change to a new work environment. Since the film format is new to me, I am getting accustomed to it. Despite rumors that I signed a ten-year TVB contract, this has not happened. No one asked to extend my contract. The frequent rumors made me feel embarrrassed since Ms. Virginia Lok (樂易玲) asked me how they started, ‘I haven’t discussed the matter with you, yet someone else has approached you about it?’ I said I did not know and it was a misunderstanding. There are still many years left in my TVB contract; they are not in a hurry to extend the contract.”

Not Attracted By Big Breasts; Loves Myolie Only

Despite Bosco and Kate’s animalistic passion in Lives of Omission, the governance of the world requires one animal to control another. In this case, the tamer of the lion was Myolie Wu, who had Bosco under full rein.
Despite locking lips with Kate Tsui in Lives of Omission, Bosco claimed that he did not report his behavior to Myolie, “Nothing bothers me during filming. Please do not bother and monitor me. She also has her freedom in filming. I will not ask any questions.”  Bosco and Myolie have been dating for years and were just short of notifying the world. Boso joked, “It’s necessary to maintain a sense of mystery!” The reporter pointed out that the entire world knew [about their relationship], how was it possible to retain any mystery? Bosco maintained,  “A little is still a little! I like how things currently stand.”
The reporter asked whether it was Bosco who was unwilling to publicly acknowledge Myolie’s status as his girlfriend or Myolie’s unwillingness to declare him as her boyfriend. Bosco laughed loudly, “Ha ha, I didn’t say anything! I am accustomed to the handling [of our relationship]. It is natural and without deliberation. If you see it, you see it. There’s no need to raise my hand to make a statement. If I were to get married one day, then I will announce it.” Bosco noted that currently, he had no intention of marriage.
After filming War of In-Laws <我的野蠻奶奶> in 2005, Bosco and Myolie started dating. In the blink of an eye, six years have passed. It was normal for a man and woman to get married. Bosco laughed continuously, ”My brother, you have been counting the years? I do not feel that it is the right time to get married yet. There are still things that I have not done yet, such as filming [more] movies. I still have to work hard for the future, such as starting a business. Earlier, I gave my mother money to open an optical store in Wan Chai to occupy her time and perhaps earn some money. When I was in my twenties, I considered getting married at 30-years-old. When I turned 30-years-old, I have not thought about marriage. If you were to ask me whether I will get married at 40-years-old, I do not know how to answer you. Let things flow naturally.”
Working in the same circle, rumors within TVB traveled as fast as lightning. Without mutual trust, it was very easy for their feelings to be scattered. Acknowledging the importance of mutual trust, Bosco said, ”We are okay in this aspect. In my current age, I am acting more like myself. In the past, I was more evasive. This has nothing to do with whether I have a girlfriend or not. The other reason is that other people know me more and understand my personality. If you live in my neighborhood, I will give you a car ride. Other people asked if I was afraid of this behavior? What am I afraid of? Of course, I will pick the type of person to enter the car, extending the offer to friends and not arbitrarily ask anyone!”

It was incredible how mainland beauties have numerous methods to increase their fame nowadays. Once they approach you, rumors frequently followed. Kate Tsui (徐子珊) admitted that from an earlier vacation to Europe, she met a good-looking German man. “During the trip, I met a German family. The elderly couple were extremely nice and introduced me to their son. Afterwards, we went to drink coffee and exchanged e-mail addresses for future contact.” Kate highly praised the man for his good looks. However, she may  be unable to accept a long-distance romance.

Kate appeared at a Coach store opening at the MGM Hotel in Macau with Pansy Ho (何超瓊) yesterday. Earlier, Kate traveled to Europe for vacation. The original plan was to stay in Europe for three weeks. However, in order to attend the Coach store opening, Kate had to end her vacation early. Since Pansy’s birthday will be August 26th, she indicated that she will be celebrating with her face, Macau casino tycoon, Stanley Ho.

Discussing about her recent trip to Europe, Kate revealed, “I just came back from a two-week trip to Eastern Europe, in which I traveled alone.  Kate was identified by Hong Kong and mainland fans in Prague, Vienna and Frankfurt, which made her feel very happy.   While in Frankfurt, Kate met a German couple in their seventies who introduced their son to her.  The couple treated Kate and their son to dinner.  Asked whether the man met her criteria, Kate noted, “He is very tall and handsome. He also possessed a good personality. We also went to drink coffee and exchanged phone numbers. We can see if there is possible further development. To family invited me to visit their home during Christmas.”

Asked whether Kate accepted long distance relationships, she replied “When I was a student, I had a long distance relationship. However, since my distance with him (the German man) is so far apart, we may not be together. I am already very happy to have a romantic adventure!”

Regarding Ron Ng’s (吳卓羲) semi-open romance with mainland actress, Viann Zhang, Kate was portrayed as Ron’s ex-flame [by the media]. Kate said, “Congratulations to them! I will work harder (to meet a boyfriend)!” (Allegedly to support Viann, Ron scolded his fans online.) “The most important keeping the peace. There’s no need to get too nervous. Fans know how to sympathize with their idols. As long as they calmly handle matters, it will be fine.”

Not long ago Ron Ng and Kate Tsui were rumored dating, but they each have other rumors on their own, and may easily be even more brilliant than their actual acting performances! Still, the two do not avoid flirting with one another and having great chemistry together. In each of their collaborations, Ron and Kate feel very comfortable.

Does not avoid flattering each other

Ron and Kate are continuously working with each other, both believe their counterparts are good actors and do not avoid flattering each other.

KATE: In 2004 when I was running for Miss HK, TVB arranged you and me as dance partners, but at the time you were very busy, didn't have much time to rehearse. We never chatted, but I did remind you of the dance routine, you know I was very nervous, so I pulled you to rehearse a few more times with me!

RON: I still remember we did social dancing, just had a few steps, and you even memorized them for me. Later you told me how the steps are like, how this and that would look better. However, it wasn't until 2005's The Brink of Law that I truly met you.

KATE: That was the first collaboration with you. My first series was La Femme Desperado, before I had some guest roles too.

RON: Well I have paid attention to you in between too, you are destined to be in this field. Artists must understand what the director wants, just tell you a few times and you'll be able to give what the director wanted.

KATE: In fact I'm still trying to adapt, it's quite difficult! I was so confused when shooting in the first few years, but you are a co-star that can easily drive me into character.

RON: Well I do see you are slowly improving, it's OK as long as the outcome is natural. The most important is using true feelings to express yourself.

KATE: We worked on so many series together, which one was the happiest for you?

RON: Wax and Wane because we started out dating already.

KATE: This series was indeed pretty comfortable, it's rare that a series starts out with a pair already dating. I already knew you well too, and had many more opportunities for scenes together. The story was just about misunderstandings, many scenes to act out and had to have better understanding. It was like getting to know a friend, even more helpless, hahaha! Actually, collaborating with you is very enjoyable and comfortable. Then am I the most comfortable co-star you worked with?

RON: Of course it's the most comfortable when you sit next to me! Honestly in TVB, I had the most collaborations with you, so naturally we'll have chemistry, it's just like we were a couple since day one!

KATE: I always get influenced by you, I never know what your talking about, take me in circles! When I'm working with you, I always get influenced, and don't know what I'm doing!

RON: Yeah right, you are so good with emotional scenes!

KATE: Because I'm afraid I'll slow you down from getting off work. You try if we're not in the same series, how would that be like?! Many times the one closest will be the most comfortable, no need to waste time trying to figure things out. Artists' chemistry requires time to develop, most important is audience accepts. There are jobs now that are asking us to be together, specials especially books us together too.

Rumors are just for laughs

RON: I have always had a lot of rumors, basically I have a whole list! (Which one was the funniest?) Sire Ma! We never kept in touch, it is a rumor that will never happened, that happened! (What can you do?) Just treat it as promotion! But, there were some I collaborated with that I was never rumored with, that is Joey Yung. The magazines never wrote anything about us, and I think Elanne Kong too.

KATE: I don't have that many rumored boyfriends! (Giving you a car?) It's just rumors, everything is fake, very fake! Like with Matthew Ko because at the time we had the same manager, just treat as promotions, so there was everything...gossips. At first, I was unhappy because I feared this would affect my work, how fans and audience would think. I really minded and got into it. However, it is overtime that I started feeling it's worthless to let rumors affect work. Now it's fine, sometimes it's still unfair, the ridiculous kind.

RON: Which one was ridiculous?

KATE: It was the one that said I got 'kept' (畀人包 or being a mistress) I was really unhappy. At the time, my responses were the most intense because it was just way too over my limit. It was totally an impact to my dignity and reputation! Usually when we are shooting a series, everyone knows what's going on, but I will not accept this type of thing, nor will I do that!

RON: Actually some magazine felt we were awkward, but I think we can still take pictures even after being rumored, it is better to be generous. How about you? Back then, you had some rumors with Leon Lai, what was that about?

KATE: We were just shooting an Ad! At the time I just entered the industry and was still a Miss HK. It was rumored that Mr. Lai bought me a car!

RON: Wah! Just one Ad got you a car?

KATE: I did earn money, but cars you can just pay it off by monthly payments! That time when I saw Mr. Lai, I was just the type that adores him, and thought our distance was far because he was my idol since youth, I felt like nothing. I just felt so strange that I could collaborate with him. In fact, he doesn't do much, he will teach you and chat with you. He won't try to make you feel like the things he says is so profound. Just normal chats. (Won't ask him questions?) No, just so deep, he is personally very charming and has status, but his words are deep, so people don't understand.

RON: Eat breakfast on an empty stomach...haha! Perhaps our IQs are too low, then have you seen Mr. Lai after the rumor?

KATE: When I see him at work, we say hi. It's not a problem!

Kate's mole is the most attractive

In the public eye, Kate's pair of electrifying eyes are a killer. Does Ron think so too?

RON: I think you have an electrifying...mole, so usually I don't look at your eyes, just that mole. This mole is the reason why I look at you!

KATE: I don't think so, I always feel I'm like a tomboy. In fact, I don't quite understand myself, very confused and slow to warm up. I don't know how to carry myself, it is the friends I knew for a long time that tell me how I am.

RON: I always felt you are very much like a lady, getting more and more like a girl and have taste. I remember when we were shooting On the First Beat, you were a tomboy. Now looking more at you....wow...your pair of electrifying eyes is totally a killer.

KATE: I don't even know this myself, is this actually true?

RON: When you're working, you look very strong. Others might think you're a tomboy, but you are very whinny to the people you know well, and reveal the girl side of you. It's a good thing. When you're working, you have your own image. Well, you are basically a girl after all. Collaborating in so many series with you and always working together, I see you are yourself when you are with the staff or colleagues you are familiar with.

Support family and abandon career

Although both Ron and Kate love their acting careers, but nothing good last forever. The two has thought about other paths before.

KATE: Have you thought about how many more years to give yourself? Have you been discouraged and felt like leaving the industry before?

RON: Why won't I be in this industry? Even if I stay all my life in TVB, they may not want me! Perhaps I'll do production work, maybe a camera man.

KATE: Today, I enjoy acting, I like performing. You tell me to suddenly stop working, it's gonna be very difficult. I haven't thought about anything else. Before when I get exhausted from work, I would feel unhappy, but not to the point that I want to leave. If I'm not in this industry anymore, I think I'll be a student again, that is my dream or maybe see if I'm going to be married, meet a good guy and marry, that's OK too. I am willing to give up my career for a family.

RON: This generation, girls will do that. They want to have a happy family more than a career, very superficial.

KATE: A family is very important, in the future I will respect my other half, hope to spend more time with family. When people get older, they start feeling the importance of a family because no matter what, there will always be someone supporting you in the back.

RON: Then will you have children?

KATE: Never thought of that!

RON: I will, but are there babies that don't cry? Many of my friends have kids already, I see them both helpless and happy at the same time. I will have to really think carefully about it. When I'm married, will I have children? As my sister's daughter gets older, I watch my sister so helpless and troubled. However, it is really happy to have a baby, I didn't like babies before, but now I changed. The only thing I can't accept is getting married while being pregnant and I also want to have a daughter first.
